2021 Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament
Tier II Sanctioned by Pickleball Canada
Hosted by Saskatoon Pickleball Inc.
Saturday August 28th and Sunday 29th, 2021


The Pickleball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament will be skill (and age) based and be played indoors on 8 courts. Entry will be limited to the first 100 participants to register for each day's events. This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned Tier II tournament that will use IFP rules.

Registration for residents of Saskatchewan will open on June 20, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. If the Saskatchewan Health Authority permits inter-provincial competition, registration for remaining spots will be open to non-residents on July 4, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

We will not accept payment until July 15 or until such time as we are reasonably certain the tournament will proceed. At that time, you will have 5 days to make your payment or you will be moved to the WaitList.

Cost to enter will include the $35 Registration fee plus $10 for each event entered.
Players may enter a maximum of 2 events and may only enter one doubles and one mixed doubles.

If you have a partner, choose 'I Have' and select him/her or select 'I Need' a partner.
This is a sanctioned tournament, so if you are currently not a member of Pickleball Canada, you must take out/renew your membership before your registration will be considered complete.
The current International Federation of Pickleball rules will apply.
The tournament ball will be the Onix Fuse 2 Lime Green outdoor ball.

Players must be 12 years of age or older any time in 2021 in order to compete.
Age brackets: 12-49, 50-59, 60-69. 70+. Your tournament age is the age you will become in 2021. Age brackets will be combined if the number of entries does not support separating brackets by age.
Events will be double elimination with each match being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 on the “A” side of the draw. On the “B” side of the draw each match will consist of one game to 15. Players are guaranteed three games.
Brackets with four teams will play a round robin format
The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.
Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.

If this is the first time you will participate in a tournament which uses the Pickleball Brackets system, give careful thought to the skill levels you recorded in your Player Profile. These skill levels plus .250 will be the starting point for your tournament rating calculation. Experienced tournament players are required to enter at the highest of their current Pickleball Brackets tournament rating or UTPR as of the date of registration.
Participants may play up a skill level (.5) or down in age at the discretion of the tournament director.
The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level category and to combine brackets based on registrations.

Level 1 Referees will be compensated $5 per match; Level 2 Referees $7 per match; Certified Referees $10 per match. Volunteer referees with the appropriate training are also encouraged to referee, space permitting.

Refund Policy

Cancellations will be accepted until August 20, 2021 with a full refund less a $10 administration fee.
